As planned, Francis and I bore the heat and went to Binondo for my 27th (man, I'm old. Ew.) birthday. Ate lunch at Tasty Dumplings (as recommended by our chinita pal, Sheryl,) strolled around in the heat, then cooled down at Gloria Jeans, which is unlikely situated along with rows of Chinese restos. After more than an hour of sipping caffeine and cam-whoring, we went to another Chinese resto to take out some yummy fare.
Oh, and before we headed home, we stopped by this firing range stall in Isetann (haha!) that Francis recently got hooked on (thanks to his field work that brings him in the area). The shot gun is definitely heavy, but it's been really fun! Hand guns will be next. Bwahahaha! (Unfortunately, there's no photo to prove that I can shoot.)
Got home at around 7:30pm for another round of celebration, this time, with my co-Young Adults at EBC. Thanks, guys, for the planned-pizza-surprise-which-didn't-turn-out-to-be-a-surprise. I really appreciate it! It's so fun celebrating with you!

i'm turning 18!!!
This coming Saturday, 21st of April, I'll be a year older. Yuck. Hahaha!
So what to do to celebrate this joyous event in my life? Francis and I are planning to go on a Chinese food trip in downtown Binondo. I think it's a unique way of celebrating one's birthday–chowing on food and attempting to gain at least 5 pounds. Hahaha! (But yes, I'm dead serious about gaining a few pounds.) The only thing that makes me think twice about the plan is the unbearable heat. We'd be padding down the streets of Binondo under the sun, and we'd be drenched in sweat. That would be a sweaty birthday for me.
Or, we can go up to Tagaytay. But that would cost more, so I'm junking that idea.
Oh well, what to do, what to do...Basta one of the very few wishes I have for my birthday is a Canon 400D. Anyone care to wrap that up in a pretty box and give it to me? I promise I would love you forever. Really, I would!

i know words aren't enough
I don't really know how you feel right now. I'm afraid to ask. I don't know how you reacted or how you felt that moment. I just know that you're okay. You told me you are. But then I'm not sure if you really are or you're just trying to be.
Neither do I know how I should feel. It's like I'm in a limbo. I don't know how to console you, or if it's proper to say that things will be alright. I just know they will be, in His grace.
Just please talk to me if you need to. I'll be here. You know I always am...

sweet vacay
Looking forward to a blessed Holy Week, which spells: no work (thank goodness! been slaving for days now!) and a fun fellowship with my churchmates this coming weekend. The EBC family will be holding a church outing in Word of Life, Laguna, and I, my mom and my sis can't wait for it! Aside from a surely blessed weekend, that's another opportunity for Beren and I to bond. Photos galore!
Well, that's just it for now. Will soon post again, let's just hope next week won't kill me with loads of deadlines (that's why I really am excited about this short vacation!).
Have a meaningful and blessed Holy Week, everyone!
